Having a website is great. Not because you can show-off your talents which is the least, but because it generates confidence and a feeling of pride in you. Today I can proudly tell the whole world that I own a personal website and that I spend my time, money, effort and all I know the best on this one little thing that is so important to me. People like yourself are looking at this website, wondering what I have done, and for those who don’t know me yet; you are thinking why I am having one.
The reason is plain and simple. It has increased my confidence and self esteem. There are things people told me when they saw my website. Inspiration and admiration from people whom I least expected and close friends and colleagues who think its a fine job done. Surprisingly, people came up discovering another part of me. I, neither did they realise that I was a prolific writer (though I am having problems accepting that). Some people called me up to ask who wrote this for me, I smile when I hear that. I don’t want to prove that I am someone I am not, but want to let all you people know that given a chance I can do something as good as this or better. This is my life and this is who I am, read on please...
So much for the little details, let me now speak about the thing that you see before you. This did not happen one fine day. So after months of redesign, rethinking and a lot of suggestions from dear and near, this is up and running. It takes just days to design a website for a client but creating a personal website seems more than difficult. There are people all around you trying to put suggestions on anything and everything. No offense, but it seems trivial to see two friends/colleagues fight over how I should design my personal website (stop frowning when you read this, because I dint mention any names). I appreciate each and every friend of mine and each and every colleague of mine who happen to put forward suggestions on the layout and design of the whole website.
Finally I own a personal space on the World Wide Web. Everything about me is just a keystroke away from you! The
wonders of information technology and the powers it can provide. Before I forget Thanks for
visiting my personal page and welcome.
My recent inspiration to start a personal
website, a close friend and former colleague of mine Firos S. I was
inspired by his idea to create a personal website. He is so very
zealous when it comes to designing a website. Always trying to redo
everything 'back from squire one' until he is satisfied or until he
gets a new job in his hand. I appreciate his enthusiasm to work
endlessly .Please visit him
here.
My other close friends who probably will do a
personal website soon after seeing this (or at least will start
thinking about it) including Kapil Kumar, Sony MS, Dileep GS, Firos
and Shibu from Suntec and friends at
Logical Steps Sri Vishwanath Paremeshawaran Sir, Shabeeb, Yashin,
Sunil & Aneesh. Also others including my brother Sherry, Sri
Revindran Chennilode from All India Radio, Prof. Abraham Joseph from
Mar Ivanios College, Staff at
NIC including The State Informatics Officer of NIC Sri. V.S.
Reghunathan Sir, Mr. Prasadu Varghese, Mr.Shinto Thomas and Smt.
Sreekala V.S who all have inspired me and trained me in my work.
I will be indebted to each and every one of you forever because you have influenced me in one way or the other giving me ideas on what I should do, taught me new things and some of you have even depended on me for answers, (mostly which I could answer truthfully :)) which makes me aware of the fact that you trust me in my knowledge and ability. It is my greatest strength. Without all you wonderful people I wouldn’t have been the person I am today.
Regards
